A two-day training camp on ‘Shakti Project’ was unveiled by the chief minister Ashok Gehlot, deputy chief minister and PCC chief Sachin Pilot and Health minister Raghu Sharma at Shivdaspura’s Bada Padampura on Monday. The camps are aimed at imparting training to 200 party workers of 25 Lok Sabha seats who would further train grassroots workers on the Lok Sabha election preparations in each assembly constituency of the state.

“The preparations for Lok Sahba is on. The training camps are for our workers. The camps will be held in the assembly constituencies further. We have made a strategy for the LS polls and workers will contribute to it. We want that party to outreach every voter,” said Gehlot while talking to the scribes at the venue.

In the camps, Pilot addressed the workers and taught them mantras on poll strategy to achieve ‘Mission-25’. The training camps, according to the sources, have been conceptualised to impart training to 200 leaders from 25 Lok Sabha seats. These 200 master trainers further under a special drive from February 15-25 will hold camps in all 200 assembly constituencies and train workers associated to the booths.

Under the training the senior leaders are teaching the workers how to manifest state government works, policies and programmes at grassroots level works ahead of the LS polls. They are also being trained how to connect people with the party’s ideology.

Meanwhile, Gehlot has once again appealed to Gurjars to maintain peace, counting efforts of his government towards their reservation issue. “Bainsala ji has appealed people to run the movement peacefully. The government is ready to work for them (Gurjars) like we did earlier. In previous five years (of Congress government) we did what we could have done and that benefited them too. When I was CM earlier I made decision on 1 percent reservation and it benefited them in the government jobs be it teacher or else jobs. We later fulfilled 5 percent reservation quota to them but the high court did not accept it,” said Gehlot.
