AICC media in charge Randeep Singh Surjewala has accused Modi and Raje governments of deceiving youths on the employment front and publicizing fake data to glorify claims on jobs that were never there. He asserted that Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are running governments on ‘Pan, Pakoda’ promises.
The BJP governments have betrayed the jobless youths by promising 2 crore jobs every year and 15 lakh jobs over five years in Rajasthan, Surjewala said at a media briefing at the PCC headquarters in Jaipur, on Monday.
Surjewala claimed that unemployment rate has doubled in Rajasthan compared to the national average and the state ranks fourth in the unemployment index. The state ranks after Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, he added.
“Prime Minister asks youths to fry pakodas (snacks) and sell pan (beetle leaves). And, the chief minister addresses protesting jobless youths as Lafangas (loafers). What would be the future of the youth of this country,” he asked. Surjewala alleged the state government was providing bogus figures of providing over 44 lakh jobs in five years when the actual figures were far less.
