In another expansion of regional connectivity, an intra-state air service between Sri Ganganagar and Jaipur commenced from Tuesday. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje flagged off the first flight for Sri Ganganagar from Sanganer Airport.
“It is a matter of great pride that today, Rajasthan boasts of the strongest intra-state air connectivity, a result of our commitment to improve air connectivity in the state from the very beginning, providing a boost to the tourism industry and strengthening the economy,” tweeted Raje from her twitter handle. She further said that after Sri Ganganagar more cities in Rajasthan will be connected with intra-state air services in future.
Her Cabinet colleagues social justice minister Arun Chaturvedi, water resource minister Dr Rampratap and BJP state president Madan Lal Saini, Jaipur MP Ramcharan Bohra, Chief Secretary DB Gupta, Rajasthan finance commission chairperson Jyoti Kiran and ACS (Civil Aviation) Sudarshan Sethi were present during the flagging off ceremony held on Tuesday.
The frequency of this air service will be twice a day. The flight will take off from Sri Ganganagar at 7am and 4pm while from Jaipur side, the passengers can catch the flight at 9am and 6pm.
Supreme Airlines has been collaborated to operate the flights. It is worth mentioning here that under regional connectivity, the state government had launched intra-state air service on October 4, 2016 connecting Jaipur to Udaipur via Jodhpur. Later, Kota and Delhi were added expanding the services further.
The Frequency
The frequency of this air service will be twice a day. The flight will take off from Sri Ganganagar at 7am and 4pm while from Jaipur side, the flight will take off at 9am and 6pm. Supreme Airlines has collaborated to operate the flights.
