CM’s Ajmer visit sounds electioneering bulge

Raje also presented report card of several devpt works

With the election commission yet to declare the date for bypoll in Ajmer and Alwar parliamentary and Mandalgarh assembly constituencies, the ruling party BJP apparatus has already moved into election mode. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s three-day visit to Ajmer from Thursday is being seen as part of this strategy.

Raje, on her first day of the visit to the poll-bound constituency, held marathon meetings with representatives of several castes and listened to their grievances, expectations from the government. The CM taking feedback from the representatives gave assurance that her government would work effectively on each issue raised.

“It is the priority of our government to hold dialogues with the community leaders so they could openly tell their issues, which we are committed to addressing. Whatever the promised made in Suraj Sankalp will be met,” Raje was quoted as saying in a statement released by the CMO. During the marathon meetings, the CM also produced report card of her government in the context of development works carried out so far in Kishangarh, a part of Ajmer constituency. Raje claimed that her government has spent Rs700 crore on various development works in Kishangarh.

“Soon, the government would operate air services from Kishangarh airport. We have approved land reservation for RIICO industrial area in Raghunathpura which was a pending demand of traders’ community here. This will work as a booster to the industry while providing jobs to many,” said Raje, adding that government was working on drinking water project at the cost of Rs225 crore for Kishangarh.

Apart from this, Raje expressed her commitment to developing Kishangarh hospital and forward grievances of local traders related to GST, a toll tax to the Modi government. In the evening, Raje also held a meeting with leaders of various morchas and workers in Kishangarh. Most of the workers hailing from rural areas gave feedback on the government works to Raje which she listened patiently. Health minister Kalicharan Sarraf was also accompanying the CM.

The assurance

While feedback from the representatives, CM gave assurance that her govt would work effectively on each issue raised.
