CII & state govt depts to hold GST workshop in city today

Confederation of Indian Industry and Department of Finance and Commercial Tax Department, Government of Rajasthan are jointly organising a comprehensive one-day training programme on Goods & Services Tax (GST) at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur today. The programme will be inaugurated by State Industries Minister, Rajpal Singh Shekhawat.

Chairman, CII Rajasthan State Council, Basantt Khaitan informed that the objective of the training programme is to create awareness about the many aspects related to GST. Requests from various industrial hubs and associations have been received to organise such a training programme. The event will cover various aspects and know-how of practical implications of GST in doing business across sectors.

The Director & Head, CII Rajasthan State Office, Nitin Gupta informed that CII is organising such sessions all across India. Apart from Jaipur, such training programmes will be held at Jodhpur, Kota, Bhilwara and other cities in near future.  The training session at the day-long event will cover GST (Pre & Post), GST Law, Rules and Supply & related topics.

Secretary Finance, govt of Rajasthan, Praveen Gupta; Commissioner, Commercial Tax Department, Alok Gupta and Commissioner, Central Excise & Service Tax Department, Deepankar Aron and Managing Partner Athena Law Associates, Dr Pramod Kumar Rai and a number of eminent tax advocates and subject experts will address the session.
