Two videos of Shambhu Raigar, the man who hacked to death a migrant worker from Bengal, have gone viral supposedly from Jodhpur jail where he claims to be facing a death threat and that a jehadi was already in his prison to kill him.

Shambhu, who had uploaded a video of hacking and burning Afrazul, a migrant worker from Bengal in December, had said that he had done so to punish Afrazul for love jehad.

The Jodhpur jail administration sprung into action and conducted an intensive search for the mobile phone where the video was allegedly shot.

The two videos of Shambhu are of duration of 2.26 minutes and 6.19 minutes and are believed to have been shot during the day.

In the 2.26 minute clip, Shambhu claims he was speaking from the Jodhpur Central Jail and he has been holed up in the safest quarters. But he goes on to add that a jehadi in the guise of a Hindu has been sent to the jail to kill him. This man, he says, is a a drug peddler from West Bengal. In the clip, Sambhu also lashed out at illegal Bangladeshis migrants.

During this video, a sheet of paper could be seen reflecting from Shambhu’s glasses and there is sound of turning a paper.

During this video, he can be seen glancing towards the left, indicating the presence of another person. He claimed that he did not have any relation withthe minor girl, who he said was involved in the love jehad.

Shambhu’s videos put a question mark on the high security inside Jodhpur jail. An intensive search operation had been initiated in the jail for his mobile phone and accomplices. DIG jails Vikram Singh Karnavat confirmed that he is looking for Shambhu’s mobile phone.

“A search is on since morning. We have questioned some of the inmates and have got some concrete clues. We are taking the matter seriously and hope to reach a conclusion soon,” said Karnavat.

“The video has been shot during the day. The guards are posted outside during that time. This prima facie rules out their involvement. But we are investigating all the aspects,” added Karnavat.

Meanwhile jail authorities have removed the co-inmate from Shambhu’s cell and have beefed up security. Jail sources claim that the contents of Shambhu’s video are not correct. The entire episode casts a shadow on the Jodhpur jail and questions are being raised as to how a cell phone could get into the hands of an inmate.

Congress MLA from Lakshmangarh,Govind Singh Dotasra, said, "It is another reflection of the government's failure. A hate crime accused, a murderer gets access to cell phone, records video message and has it circulated on social media all from his prison cell."
