After Krishna circuit, state may now be able to get centre’s support for development of wildlife and nature tourism in Rajasthan.
Department of tourism has submitted the proposal to include Sariska (Alwar), Kaila Devi wildlife sanctuary (Karauli), Kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary & Raoli Tadgarh wildlife sanctuary (Rajsamand), Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary (Sirohi) and Jhalana Safari Park(Jaipur) for development under the centre’s eco-circuit theme.
Sources inform that the buzz is that proposal is under consideration and may be accepted by the centre in coming days.The development of these tourist destinations in the state will enable tourists to come with ease and be close to nature and flora and fauna of these places.
Many of these tourist destinations like Sariska and Kaila Devi are already very popular with the tourists who come in large numbers to these places. Jhalana safari park is one of the new projects in the state and further development under the eco-centre scheme will strengthen the infrastructure.

It has planned activities like adventure tourism and wildlife tourism to cater more tourists.
Notably, under this scheme, the union ministry provides central financial assistance asone time grant for creation of capital assets in phased manner. Based on the progress made on the projects and utilisation certificate received from the state governments, ministry releases subsequent instalments of funds.
State is already getting a good share of tourists across the country and abroad.
In 2017, 475.27 lakh tourists came to Rajasthan which was a jump of 10.50% from the previous year. Foreign tourists are finding the state interesting and are exploring various colours and traditions of the state. Coming close to nature will increase the visitors in the state.
