Markets in Bundi city remained closed for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. However, the district administration has taken steps to bring the situation back to normal and pacify the angry traders. Bundi district collector and S.P. On Monday appealed the public and traders to maintain communal harmony.

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday evening in Bundi district, district collector Shivangi Swarnkar and S.P. Yogesh Yadav appealed to the traders and public to play a positive role in restoring normalcy in the city. The two officials called upon the traders to open up their business establishments.

S.P. Yadav said the police were taking action against those involved in stone pelting at Ramnavmi procession on Sunday night and said seven of the accused of stone pelting have been arrested and sent to jail while efforts and investigations are underway to trace and identify other accused.

The S.P. also clarified that the youth, who erected the green flag over Old police station building rooftop in Tilak Chowk area was detained on the same day but following the persuasion by senior members of the community he was freed them.
