Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot on Wednesday set the goal for the Wagad and Mewar district Congress committee officials to gather maximum crowd for the Kisan rally in Banswara when Congress vice president Rahul Ganshi addresses farmers on July 19.

Pilot while holding a meeting with Congress office bearers after taking stock of the preparations said that tribals have always supported Congress policies.

Pilot left Jaipur by road on Wednesday morning and reached Banswara at around 1 in the afternoon, where he was welcomed by Congress workers. Firstly, Pilot reached Badodia in Banswara, where he inspected the playground of the school. After this, he went to Banswara College ground along with all the leaders and workers and inspected the same.After examining both the places, he held a meeting at the district Congress Committee headquarters,Banswara and had discussions with leaders, activists and office bearers.

On the occasion, Pilot said, “Every worker of the Congress party is standing with the farmers in this hour of grief, we will continue to force the government to waive off the debts of victimised farmers of Rajasthan and take steps to bring them relief as soon as possible.”

PCC Chief has instructed officials of all district Congress committees of Udaipur division to ensure maximum participation of farmers,tribals and workers in the Kisan Sammelan.For this, all district incharge and district presidents will hold meeting of the block executives under him and mobilise people on booth level.

Pilot said that even in the state, the BJP government has ignored the farmers, due to which more than 65 farmers have killed themselves in the last three and a half years.Not only this, half a dozen farmers have committed suicide in the last one month.

He said that the government is neither able to provide fertilizer seeds on time nor has any relief been provided with the support price so far. Not getting the right price in time, farmers are bearing losses due to selling crop on low price.
