BJP MLA raises doubt over tree plantation

BJP MLA from Bandikui Alka Singh raised doubts on the figures of tree plantation done in Dausa district in the last four years saying “Jangal mein mor nacha kisne dekha”. Forest minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar said that attempts will be made for geo-tagging and “hum aapko jangal mein jo mor nacha hai woh naachtey huey bata dengeny,”.

Raising the issue duirng question hour on Thursday, she said that the figures which department gave were on just on papers . She said that figures say that in four years 11 lakh plants were planted. She said if this was the speed not an inch land would have been left without greenery. However, the situation is different .

Replying to her, forest minister Khimsar said about the progress made in tree plantation and said that if the monsoon is good then the survival chances of the plants will be good. 

The minister said that MLA could check in any block along with the official and random checking will be done in front of her.
