Saini has indicated to change his team after becoming the state president.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) newly appointed state chief Madan Lal Saini is on a hunt for party spokesperson. From past four years there has been dearth of spokespersons and in such a backdrop, the state government ministers and the former state president Ashok Parnami have to come forward to share the party and the government’s view. Saini has indicated to change his team after becoming the state president.
Though Ashok Lahoti is the state spokesperson, but after becoming Jaipur mayor in December 2016 he is not active as a spokesperson. At present, the ruling party has not even a single spokesperson. According to sources, Saini is likely to accommodate three spokespersons in his team —one female and two male leaders. The names taking round is that of BJP Media Sampark Vibhag Pramukh Anand Sharma, former deputy mayor Manish Pareek, leader of Mahila Morcha Nimisha Gaur and party worker Raju Mangodiwala who will likely be appointed as state spokesperson.
Raju Mangodiwala is the son of senior BJP leader and RSS leader Mohandas Agrawal. Raju is active as a party worker. While Nimisha Gaur’s husband has been associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Due to husband’s lobbying, Nimisha’s name is also under consideration. There is also a possibility of a veteran BJP worker helming the post of spokesperson.
In the last four years, BJP has not been able to find a capable spokesperson. In the last one year, the BJP had to face discomfort due to absence of a person who could put forth their agenda.
