Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur National Highway to be completed soon: Vijay Goel

Goel said that his ministry has been instructed to monitor the project above 150 crore related to the ministry of any department and to overcome obstacles by raising necessary resources.

The work on the Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur National Highway will be completed soon and this will facilitate the movement of traffic from Jodhpur to Delhi, as well as increase the trade, said Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Vijay Goel. He said this during a press conference while evaluating the work of the National Highway and IIT Project in Jodhpur. Minister of State for Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also present on the occasion. 

Goel said that his ministry has been instructed to monitor the project above 150 crore related to the ministry of any department and to overcome obstacles by raising necessary resources. There are 1,200 projects going on across the country, out of which four projects are connected to Jodhpur that also includes Jodhpur-Barmer National Highway 112 which has been completed. Jodhpur Pokhran National Highway 114 has been completed whereas Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur National Highway 112 is under progress. 

The project of IIT Jodhpur which is pegged at 1,020 crore, the work involving 500 crore project has been completed and 520 crore work has been started in 850 acres. He told that four hostels and 60 flats have been set up in IIT Jodhpur, in which 6,000 students will be studying.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that efforts towards recognition to the Rajasthani language have been intensified. Talking about Jodhpur AIIMS, he said that it has its own identity and the facilities will be expanded in the coming years.
