‘Chintan Shivir’, a compilation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches on good governance, will be distributed among all the IAS officers. The book has compilation of speeches of PM Modi given during his tenure as Gujarat CM from 2003 to 2011. On the instructions of the PMO, the Gujarat government has sent a large number of copies to the Rajasthan government. According to the information, these books will be distributed among all the BJP-ruled states in the country.
The copies sent by the Gujarat government reached the Secretariat. Chief Secretary DB Gupta immediately issued instructions to distribute them among all additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and other secretaries. The Department of Personnel also distributed some copies during a programme to collectors on Friday. Soon, this book will be distributed to the remaining IAS officers as well.
Chairman of Dungarpur Municipal Council, brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat campaign and BJP leader KK Gupta said: “The officers will surely get motivated for good governance from the Modi Mantra. Modi’s speeches have strengthened the image of India in the foreign countries and it will have an impact in India too. People used to buy tickets to listen to Modi’s election speeches, which clearly shows how motivational his talks are.”
It is okay to point out things related to good governance to bureaucrats, but it would have been better if the initiative was taken by the PMO. Expressing his view, Congress leader Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said: “It would have been better if they had compiled a book with Modi’s PM speeches, instead of his CM talks.”
Modi is not the first big leader of BJP whose book is being distributed to the officers. Earlier, book related to Integrated Humanism of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, who was BJP’s founder, was also distributed. The news of the distribution of these books has created more disturbance in the intelligence agencies than the officers.
The initiative
