AICC general secretary and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, on Monday, questioned the manifold rise in revenues of Patanjali, a company owned by yoga guru, Baba Ramdev. Gehlot claimed that the yoga guru openly supports the policies of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at various platforms.

On Monday, BJP national president Amit Shah, met Baba Ramdev to seek his support for the 2019 election.

Post meeting, he stated that PM’s initiatives have led India to new heights and the country is flourishing under his patronage.

This statement, however, irked Gehlot so much that he took to twitter to take on Baba Ramdev with #VikasEkDhokaHai.

“New heights certainly, but only in terms of manifold rise in revenues of BJP and in annual turnover of Patanjali. BJP is flourishing so as the companies belonging to BJP supporters. But India is languishing behind in terms of farm revenues, job creation and growth,” tweeted Gehlot.
