Anandpal kin refuse to take his body for 2nd day

Gangster Anandpal’s family members refused to receive his dead body for the second day on Monday. The government claimed that his kin were denying the slain gangster his final rites. But, government’s worries are far from over. People from surrounding districts have started thronging to Singh’s native village to show their solidarity with the family. Several local leaders and even former legislators from Rajput community are also headed to the spot, sources said.

The police is keeping a strict vigil on the law and order situation in and around Singh’s native village. A tent has been erected outside Sanwraad village wherein more than two thousand people came on Monday. The family members were approached by administration to accept Anand Pal’s dead body, however the family declined citing their five demands, one of them being a CBI investigation into the matter.

At the mortuary at Ratangarh people supporting Anand Pal reached and created a ruckus. However, the police tamed the situation quickly.

By afternoon, Singh’s daughter also reached the native village. The girl studies in Dubai.

The highway leading to Ladnun town is dotted with cops who are searching every vehicle passing the pickets. The entire village has been turned into a cantonment as cops in huge numbers have been posted to avert any deterioration in law and order. The cops are also keeping vigil over the area by drones.

‘READY FOR PROBE’

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said the department is ready for any investigation into the encounter. The family has demanded his brothers be brought to Saanwraad for last rites. They have also demanded a CBI probe.  

MEETING RAJNATH?

The matter may reach Union home minister Rajnath Singh’s notice. Anandpal’s kin and his counsel AP Singh said they were meeting the minister.
