Ahead of Rajput community’s call to assemble in Sanwrad village where body of slain gangster is lying for cremation for past 17 days due to stand off on CBI demand into the encounter, the principal secretary (home) Deepak Upreti took review of the law and order situation with senior police officers of Ajmer range. The top official issued direction to deploy adequate force in the area and four RAS officers to monitor the assembly to avoid any untoward incident.

The meeting held in Secretariat on Monday discussed police planning ahead of the assembly and all ‘angles’ threatening to law and order were discussed here. IG Ajmer Malini Agarwal briefed the secretary about measures taken on mobilisation of additional manpower to keep a watch on the situation. Upreti, meanwhile, directed the cops to be alert and manage the mob to zero in any threat to law and order.

After the meeting the officer of home secretary shot a letter to Nagaur collector Kumar Pal Gautam, directing him to deploy 4 sub divisional officers to manage, keep vigilance on the assembly.

Even after 17 days, body of slain gangster Anandpal Singh has not been cremated. The family continues with it’s demand of CBI probe whereas the state government is agreed to set up a SIT to probe into the case. Now, all eyes are on the July 12 rally planned by the Rajput community at Sanwrad village. Senior police officers are camping in Ladnu to keep an eye on the situation. Members of the Rajput community are communicating with and urging people across the state to reach Anandpal’s village on Wednesday.
