Anandpal case: CBI re-visits encounter spot

Conducting its investigation in the Anand Pal Singh encounter case, the investigating team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reached Malasar on Monday and conducted its investigation for five hours. The CBI team visited Shravan Singh’s house, where the encounter occurred and studied closely the entire place while also recreating the chain of events.

A team of the SOG also took samples from the spot along with the CBI team. The CBI team had brought with them an FSL team which picked evidence from the spot while also taking measurements of ballistics from the wall which would aid the CBI in its investigation. Moreover, a thorough photography and videography of the site were also conducted.

Not only this, the CBI called the team of doctors from Ratangarh that conducted Anand Pal’s post-mortem and questioned them extensively over the matter. Interestingly, the CBI team, while conducting a thorough search of the encounter area, also came across two spent cartridges. One of the cartridges was an AK-47 assault rifle while the other was on 9 MM pistol. The CBI team will look into as to who fired those shots.
