The state BJP is leaving no stone unturned to make preparations for the impending visit of its national president Amit Shah. Shah will arrive on Friday and will be in town till Sunday. The schedule of meetings has been prepared and the BJP is now concerned that the party functionaries have correct and prompt answers for Shah’s queries.

The biggest concern is that the ministers manage to hold their own when the party supremo takes stock of the functioning of the government. For this, elaborate reports are being prepared and the netas have been told to keep their facts updated so as to be able to respond to the queries.

As per sources involved with the preparations, Shah’s meetings will have no formal structure or formal agenda. They will begin with a one minute welcome and then the mike will be handed over to Shah who will then conduct the meetings. “He will have a list of every person who will be attending each session. Shah has the liberty of calling out to them and asking questions,” a source said.

Meticulous lists have been prepared about those scheduled to attend each meeting and so elaborate has been the planning that even the 1,200 plus list of intellectuals who are to meet Shah has already been prepared.

The ministers have been categorically told to have their facts not just on paper, but in their minds and also on the tip of their tongues. They have been told to “be ready for anything” and have been warned to “make no bahanas” if they are not clear on a question.

Special focus is on the Central schemes, source told DNA. A major presentation is being prepared for the progress of Centre’s favourite and priority schemes in the state, they added.
