Amit Shah in Jaipur today to address meetings ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls

BJP national president will launch the party’s election campaign for LS polls in the state from February 18.

As part of preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BJP national president Amit Shah will be in Jaipur for a one-day tour on Monday. BJP national president will launch the party’s election campaign for LS polls in the state from February 18. 

He will address joint Shakti Kendra conference of the party workers of three Lok Sabha constituencies at Suraj Maidan, Adarsh Nagar on Monday. On this occasion, Shah will also lay the foundation stone of the BJP’s district offices.

BJP has made eight clusters of all the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state to prepare for elections. Three LS seats have been included in seven clusters whereas one cluster comprises four LS seats. Prime minister Narendra Modi and Shah’s electoral programme has been decided according to the cluster. Both leaders will address a programme in each cluster. After Shah’s visit, PM Modi will come to Tonk on February 23 and address the public meeting of Tonk-Sawai Madhopur LS constituency. He will return to Rajasthan again on February 26 after three days.

On Monday, Shah will address the Shakti Kendra Sammelan of cluster of Jaipur City, Jaipur Rural and Sikar Lok Sabha constituency on Monday. He will arrive at Jaipur Airport at 11 am,  where BJP state president Madan Lal Saini, MP Ramcharan Bohra, city president Mohanlal Gupta and other BJP leaders will welcome him. Shah will then reach Suraj Maidan at 11.15 am from the airport. 

The party office bearers and public representatives from the booth unit of the state unit of BJP will be included in the Shakti Kendra Sammelan. MLAs, former MLAs, MPs, former MPs, councillors, former councillors, booths, mandal, district and state unit office-bearers and Shakti Kendra heads of Jaipur City, Jaipur Rural and Sikar LS constituencies will be present. After the Shakti Kendra conference, Shah will come to the BJP state headquarters. Shah will hold a meeting of BJP state office bearers there. 

In the meeting, BJP’s state office bearers, Lok Sabha in-charge and convenor, district president and district in-charge will be included. In the evening the meeting of the State Core Committee under the chairmanship of Shah will be held and after that he will leave for Delhi. 

It is noteworthy here that during the Assembly elections held in December last year, other Central leaders including PM Modi and Amit Shah also addressed election meetings in the state. 

The PM addressed 13 public meetings in Rajasthan within seven days. Similarly, Shah participated in 20 public meetings and four road shows in Rajasthan in seven days. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed 24 public meetings in five days.
