Ahead of poll year, JDA directs officers, firms to finish works

The works that were reviewed included SMS and Anandlok underpass, Sitapura, Jahota, Dantli and Bassi ROBs, Bambala high-level bridge and elevated road

There is about a year left of the BJP government before the state goes to polls. With this, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has started pressurising the officers and also various contractor firms to complete the works like underpass, railway over bridges among others during the tenure of the present government so that the new projects can be inaugurated.

JDC Vaibhav Galriya on Monday took a review meeting of all the under construction works that are being done by the JDA.

The JDC chalked out an action plan and directed all the contractors to complete their projects on time. He also directed to remove hurdles in front of construction of ROB projects.  

He also took stock of the progress made in the construction of the various ROBs and RUBs being in Jaipur.

He added that all the works should be completed as per the action plan in a time-bound manner. Apart from this, he asked the construction agencies to put extra efforts and resources to speed up the works.

The JDC also directed JDA officials to look for a solution to resolve land related issues of these ROBs and RUBs.

He added that weekly review of these projects along with that of the elevated road would be held by the officials. While at the commissioner level, a joint meeting of the Jaipur Development Authority and the agencies involved in the works will be held once a month.
