Agro-based industries to benefit farmers, says Vasundhara Raje

The agro-based industries are set to directly benefit the farmers and the villages and the state government is committed to promoting such industries, chief minister Vasundhara Raje said on Wednesday

CM Raje, while addressing a public gathering at Kasar after inaugurating the second unit of Goyal Veg Oil Limited plant, said the new unit of plant would help the farmers of Hadoti get fair price for their produce and the qualitative cattle food would be available to the people for animal husbandry.

Goyal Veg Oil Limited had signed a MoU of Rs. 40 crore with the state government last year for setting up the second unit with advanced technology in the plant, Raje on this occasion also took a round of the plant and had a closer look of the functioning of the veg oil unit. Suresh Soni, Sahsarkaryawahak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, also stressed the benefits of advanced technology.  

Chairman of Goyal Veg Oil Limited Prakash Chand Goyal, managing director Tara Chand Goyal, local MLA Bhawani Singh Rajawat, Sandeep Sharma, Kota municipal corporation mayor Mahesh Vijay, UIT chairman Rajkumar Metha, divisional commissioner and Kota collector Rohit Gupta, Kota range IG Vishal Bansal and several other dignitaries were also present.

Later in the day, CM Raje visited the residences of MLA Heera Lal Nagar and Vyapar Mahasangh president Kranti Jain and extended greeting for marriages in the respective families. Raje also visited Congress leader Shanti Dhariwal’s residence to pay condolences on the untimely death his nephew Shekhar Dhariwal who passed away on February 2.
