The desert area of Shiv Tahsil of Barmer, adjacent to borders of Pakistan, is witnessing bombardment from the sky through tanks and cannons on the ground. In the Combined maneuvers of the Indian Army and Air Force, “Hamesha Vijayee” forces are practicing how to Infiltrate into enemy territory and test the ability to attack them. In this exercise, the air force fighter planes distinguished targets through bombing and missiles. As a result, loud echoes of army’s cannon are being heard everywhere.

Nearly forty thousand soldiers of the Indian Army and the Air Force is engaged in maneuvers with all his accessories from Sukhoi to helicopters. Army and Air Force are also working to deal with nuclear and chemical attacks in this exercise.

On its conclusion, on 22nd December, the Army and Air Force will show their skills and strengths by performing the live attack of the enemy army in front of the Army Chief. Under the leadership of Southern Command of the Indian Army, a large number of other units are involved in the exercise including 12 and 21 strike corps.

It also includes  41st Artillery, 11 Infantry Divisions, and 12 Infantry Divisions etc. units from Pune, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, and Jhansi are deployed with about four thousand soldiers and officers and whole accessories.

Soldiers and officers are learning war skills based on different battle formations as well as testing their abilities. It is being practiced to make its strategic skills and strategy high. 

Apart from the conventional war, soldiers are also being trained for chemical and nuclear contingency.

The purpose of this maneuver is to evaluate the capability of the armed forces to strike deep into enemy territory in an integrated air-land battle. At the same time, a high level of synergy between the Army and the Air Force is also being demo strated.

Army spokesman Lt Col Manish Ojha told that The Indian army has always been practicing war with tank, cannons and armored vehicles after the initial training in this warfare named ‘Hamesha Vijayee’.
