A day after, curfew relaxed in Hindaun

In other parts of the state, where violence had occurred during Bharat Bandh on Monday, peace and normalcy prevailed again.

After 25 hours, the curfew was relaxed for five hours on Wednesday in Hindaun City town of Karauli where violence had broken out on Tuesday. The police personnel staged the march through various areas of the arson-hit town. In other parts of the state, where violence had occurred during Bharat Bandh on Monday, peace and normalcy prevailed again.

In Hindaun City, the curfew that was imposed on Tuesday was relaxed from 1 pm to 6 pm to allow people to procure essential commodities, even as security forces kept a close vigil on the situation. During the relaxation in curfew people were seen queued up at shops to purchase essential items.

Additional SP Rajesh Yadav, Dy SP Rajesh Malik and Tarachand Aswal with SHOs of two police stations and additional police force were camped as part of efforts to restore peace in the town which witnessed violence on Tuesday. As per the police officials 82 people have been arrested so far in connection with the two-days long violence and breaking the curfew on Wednesday. To stop rumours on social media and other platforms, internet has been banned in the town. From Thursday morning 6.30am to 7pm, curfew will be relaxed.
