81 IAS officers transferred in a day in Rajasthan

The list was issued on late Monday night after the government appointed Gupta as the new chief secretary while NC Goel retired on Monday evening.

With the new chief secretary Devendra Bhushan Gupta taking charge of the highest office, the Vasundhara Raje-led Rajasthan government in a big administrative rejig has transferred 81 IAS officers including 15 district collectors and 8 ACS level officers. One-third strength of IAS cadre has been overhauled with the list which appears to be a final 'makeover' at secretary level as the state government has entered into the final leg of its tenure ahead of elections slated in November-December.

The list was issued on late Monday night after the government appointed Gupta as the new chief secretary while NC Goel retired on Monday evening.

In the rejig, Finance, UDH-LSG, Home, Tourism, Education got new heads. Meanwhile, the government gave posting to Neeraj K Pawan as special secretary in Administrative reforms who was kept APO (awaiting posting orders).

ACS rank officials Khemraj Chaudhary, Jagdish Chandra Mohanty, Ravi Shankar Srivastava, Sudarshan Sethi, Subodh Agrawal, PK Goyal, Mukesh Kumar Sharma and Rajhans Upadhyay have been shifted to new assignments as per the list. Subodh Agarwal, who was recently moved to the tourism and forest and environment department and held portfolio for four months only, has been shifted to higher and technical education department as ACS.

Mukesh Sharma has been given plum posting of ACS Finance, Excise Taxation while Pawan Kumar Goyal has replaced him in UDH. Sudarshan Sethi will be ACS GAD where PK Goyal was posted earlier. Rajhans Upadhyay has been transferred from State Warehousing Corporation to Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation as CMD. ACS JC Mohanty, who was looking after affairs of social justice, was moved to TAD, Youth Affairs and DIPR.

Jaipur divisional commissioner Rajeshwar Singh has been made the principal secretary of the rural development department. T Ravikanth has replaced him as the new Jaipur divisional commissioner. Principal Secretary Kuldeep Ranka has been assigned to Tourism and Forest department while Kunji Lal Meena is appointed as secretary to Panchayati Raj department. Naveen Mahajan has been shifted into Local Self Governance as secretary. Jodhpur and Kota divisions also have new commissioners - Lalit Kumar Gupta and Kailash Chand Verma, respectively.

A makeover at a large level was seen in education ministry with changing directors in various departments under it, which are Shyam Raj Purohit, Director in Elementary Education Department, Kailash Chand Meena, Director of National Secondary Education Mission, Shivangi Swarnkar, Director in Secondary education. Along with this, the new changes would be, Deepak Nandi, an IAS promotee as the secretary in Jaipur development authority, Rohit Gupta Commissioner in Rajasthan Housing Board and Rohit Kumar as the secretary in the home department.

Collectors posted

The collectors with fresh posting are Narendra Kumar Gupta (Bikaner), Bhanwar Lal Mehra (Pratapgarh), Gaurav Goyal (Kota), Arti Dogra (Ajmer), Nannumal Pahadia (Dholpur), Anadhi (Rajsamand), Shuchi Tyagi (Bhilwara), Ram Chandra Dhenwal (Tonk), Prakash Chand Pawan (Sawai Madhopur), Mahesh Chandra Sharma (Bundi), Dinesh Chand Jain (Hanumangarh), Muktananad Agarwal (Churu), Prakash Rajpurohit (Alwar), Anupama Jorwal (Jaisalmer) and Sandesh Nayak (Bharatpur).

Rejig ahead of poll
