700 BSF soldiers showcase shooting prowess

All India 48th BSF Inter Frontier Support weapon Shooting Competition commenced in Kishangarh firing range near Pakistan border on Tuesday.

Along with this, Thar Desert echoed with the noise of bomb blasts and machine gun bullets. The competition, which will continue till February 10, was inaugurated by Anil Paliwal, IG, Rajasthan Frontier.

IG Paliwal said that weapon Shooting Competition has much importance in every force. It plays an important role in enhancing war skills. In this competition, around 700 sharp shooters from all the frontiers of the Border Security Force will showcase their shooting skills by aiming at the targets. The competition will conclude on 10 February.

Officers and soldiers of BSF stationed in the border headquarters of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Srinagar, Jammu, Punjab, North Bengal, South Bengal, Thiruvananthapuram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, Kutch and Delhi are participating in this shooting competition. They will demonstrate their potential by firing on the set target on the firing range with their weapons.  DIG Gandhi told that the game village has been built near Kishangarh firing range. In this competition, officers and soldiers will aim targets using 81 mortar medium machine guns, LMG, SLR, etc weapons.
