CM Vasundhara Raje has said that the process of appointment of more than 21,000 safaikarmis at various local bodies would be completed in next three months. Raje also announced that the safaikarmis would get pay scale as per seventh pay commission. Raje said the appointments would benefit the Valmiki community. She said this would largely benefit the unemployed youth of the community.

Raje lauded the efforts of the Valmiki community for playing a crucial role in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a Swachh Bharat. She said the efforts and commitment of the community are appreciable. Raje was addressing the members of the Valmiki community who had come to Civil Lines express their thanks to the CM for announcing more than 21,000 vacancies that would benefit the community.

Raje added that her government had taken many steps to strengthen the Valmiki community. Loans up to Rs 2 lakh had been disbursed in 1980-81 and after under the self-employment schemes have been waived off. She also informed that free coaching has been started for meritorious students who want to prepare for entrance exams for IIT, IIM, Law, medicine and technical institutes. UDH minister Shrichand Kriplani, Mayor Ashok Lahoti, president of state safai karmchari commission Gopal Pacherwal, vice-president CP Tayson, commissioner JMC Ravi Jain, DLB Pawan Arora and members of the Valmiki community were present.
