Anything is possible with determination and practice. This can not be defined better by anyone than Anamika Kothari, a 15-year-old city-based girl, who has made history with Limca Book of Records 2018 for having a ‘Revolving Body’.

According to the record, she has developed a unique skill where she keeps on hand on her mother’s foot and one on her father’s foot while her body revolves on the ground. She managed to revolve the body 43 times in one minute.

“I started doing Yoga about three years back after being inspired by my younger brother, Manish Kothari. My father, after my request, taught me a technique with which I could put eyeliner, which is on a knife, using my feet, while doing Sarvang Asan. This was highly appreciated at India’s Got Talent,” Kothari said.

“I wanted to do something more unique. My father then taught me this technique where my hands are locked from both sides by my parents on each side, and I revolve my body by going from underneath my arms,” she added.

While speaking about her efforts, Kothari said that things were not easy in the beginning, but she could manage well after lot of practice and parental support.

“I do two hours of Yoga exercises everyday. I practice several posters like Padma Asan, Mayur Asan, and Dhanur Asan. This makes my body very flexible. Most important is Surya Namaskar. My father taught me all these asans,” Kothari said.

Anamika also said that there are very few parents who support their girl child like her parents do. She wants to further make them proud by going into Guinness Book of Records with her talent.

“When I was teaching them, I myself didn’t know that they are Yoga Asans. I had learnt certain techniques at Akhadas during my early days. I was just teaching what I had. I watched the most typical Yoga Asans on the internet, and we practised them together,” said Narendra Kothari, Anamika’s father.
