WATCH: M Ashwin's special delivery leaves Shreyas Iyer bamboozled

Murugan Ashwin spun a web around Shreyas Iyer to bag his wicket during Kings XI Punjab's IPL 2020 clash against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday (October 20).

Ashwin bagged the breakthrough at a very key moment of that game for his side.

Earlier in the day, DC won the toss and asked KXIP to bowl first at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw gave a decent start to the Delhi franchise before James Neesham sent back Shaw (7), reducing DC to 25/1 after 3.2 overs.

In stepped the DC skipper Shreyas Iyer and formed a quick understanding with Dhawan, as the pair kept the scoreboard ticking at a fast pace.

The duo formed an effective partnership of 48 runs before Murugan Ashwin struck for KXIP and broke the deadly looking partnership.

On the third delivery of the eight over, the KXIP spinner deliberately bowled a wide delivery to Iyer which completely deceived the DC batsman.

After failing to pick up the right trajectory of the ball, Shreyas ended up pocking the ball with his blade as KL Rahul took a smart catch behind the stumps.

As a result, Iyer scored 14 runs off the 12 deliveries that he faced on the night as DC lost another key wicket and lost a bit of momentum.
