Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) all-rounder Ben Stokes was in fine form with the bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as he guided his side to 148 with a 25-ball 39. The Englishman, however, will quickly like to forget the way he got dismissed in that match.

The 15th over of RPS' innings was bowled by Rashid Khan, the Afghan leg-spinner who is in the middle of a phenomenal IPL debut season. The second delivery in the over was a googly, which stokes failed to read and ended up nicking. The ball was pouched by wicket-keeper Naman Ojha, but umpire KN Ananthapadmanabhan - in another shining exhibition of poor umpiring - didn't see the massive edge and kept his finger down.

Stokes, on his part, made a mockery of the 'Fair Play Award' all eight teams are vying for by standing his ground and pretending that he didn't nick the ball. Rashid was clearly distraught and walked back to his mark, shaking his head in disbelief.

However, as they say, karma always finds a way to get you. Stokes learned that the hard way when he was clean-bowled on the very next ball. Rashid was pumped and ran to celebrate with his team-mates, even pointing out to them how Stokes blatantly tried to cheat.

Here's what happened:

Only a week ago, veterans Hashim Amla and Mahendra Singh Dhoni won plaudits for walking off immediately after nicking the ball. Perhaps, Stokes should learn something.
