Rajasthan Royals will square off against Sunrisers Hyderabad in a crucial match in IPL 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. David Warner’s side is currently seventh in the points table and Sunrisers Hyderabad is in the sixth position with eight points. A loss for Sunrisers Hyderabad could spell the end of their playoff hopes while a loss for Rajasthan Royals could intensify the race for the play-offs. With Kings XI Punjab staging a resurgence with three consecutive wins against the top teams in the IPL, a mistake from either Sunrisers Hyderabad or Rajasthan Royals could prove to be costly.
In the last match between the two sides, Manish Pandey and David Warner helped Sunrisers Hyderabad reach a good score but a match-winning stand from Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag helped Rajasthan Royals secure a tense win with just one ball to spare. Rajasthan Royals’ win over Chennai Super Kings has given them renewed confidence while Sunrisers Hyderabad are coming off a heartbreaking loss in the super over against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Both Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are in desperate need of a win and will be looking to a few tweaks to their side. While RR showed a tremendous all-round performance against CSK in their last match, the top order might be a little concerning for skipper Steve Smith.
Rajasthan Royals - Robin Uthappa, Ben Stokes, Sanju Samson(w), Steven Smith(c), Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Ankit Rajpoot, Kartik Tyagi
Sunrisers Hyderabad - David Warner(c), Jonny Bairstow(w), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Priyam Garg, Vijay Shankar, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan, Basil Thampi
Match: Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
Date and Time: 22nd October, 7:30 PM
Venue: Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
SRH and RR have clashed 12 times in the IPL, with both sides winning 6 matches each.
