Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings is a mouth-watering clash for many cricket enthusiasts not just in India but around the world. It will be the battle between Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni, two of the finest captains India have ever had in limited-overs cricket. Sadly, the circumstances around Chennai Super Kings heading into the contest in Sharjah has toned down the build-up. MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings are at the bottom of the table and although they are still in this contest mathematically, they will be eliminated. That will bring to an end a proud record of Chennai Super Kings where they have qualified for the play-offs in every edition that they have featured in.

There are a couple of fitness concerns for the Mumbai Indians side heading into the match. Rohit Sharma was unwell following the game against Kings XI Punjab and many will be hoping that he regains full fitness. A win for Mumbai Indians will take them one step closer to the playoffs. However, if they lose the game, then it gives all the bottom teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings to barge in through the door and take the fourth or even potentially the third spot.
