Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are all set to begin their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 journey against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday (September 21). During tonight's encounter, RCB players will be wearing special jerseys to pay tribute to all the COVID-19 warriors who have worked tirelessly to make this world a better place during this global pandemic.

The entire Balanglore squad will be wearing jerseys with 'My COVID heroes' written on the back of their training kit and as well as for the IPL 2020 matches.

Adding to that, RCB batsman AB de Villiers recently revealed that he has opted to change his name for the 13th edition of the IPL which amazed the cricketing fraternity quite a bit. The veteran South African cricketer has already changed the name of his social media accounts to 'Paritosh Pant' and also his display picture for his accounts.

Explaining his move, AB took to Twitter and wrote: "I salute Paritosh, who started ‘Project Feeding from Far’ with Pooja & fed meals 2 needy during the lockdown. I wear his name on my back this season 2 appreciate their challenger spirit Share your #MyCovidHeroes story with us."

 The IPL 2020 kicked off on September 19 with Mumbai Indians locking horns with Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener.

CSK defeated Mumbai by five wickets while on Sunday, Delhi Capitals secured a thrilling super-over victory over Kings XI Punjab in Dubai.

RCB will take on Hyderabad tonught at the Dubai International Stadium.
