Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Mumbai Indians (MI) in the opening-day IPL 2020 on September 19.
IPL 2020 finally began after months of delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament began today (September 19) with Mumbai Indians, the four-time champions of the IPL taking on the Chennai Super Kings in Abu Dhabi. Rohit Sharma did get the better of MS Dhoni on a consistent basis but the former Team India skipper secured the win this time around.
CSK cruised to a 5-wicket win in the end with four more balls to sapire as Mumbai had to face the taste of defeat on the opening day of the campaign.
