Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the Bhim-Aadhaar application for digital payments saying, one day it will be a case study abroad.

Addressing a gathering, Prime Minister Modi said, "The BHIM App is positively impacting several lives across the nation. We are reaching a time when the mobiles phones will be where financial transactions will take place." "The day won't be far when the biggest foreign universities will come to do case study in India. It will be a reference point to study financial changes that will take place in the world," Modi added. 

The Prime Minister also announced incentive program for BHIM digital payment platform. For every successful referral, users can earn Rs 10.

He also said that this DigiDhan movement is a Safai Abhiyaan and it is to fight the menace of corruption.

Further stating that each and every Indian must have his or her own house, he added, "That house must be equipped with electricity, water and other facilities."

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Piyush Goyal, Ramdas Athawale, Hansraj Ahir and other leaders were present on the occasion.

Earlier in the day, Modi paid tributes to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 126th birth anniversary at Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur.

After paying floral tributes at the hallowed precincts, where the Dalit icon and architect of the Constitution embraced Buddhism in 1956 with his large number of followers, Modi prayed for a few minutes with folded hands. 

Modi also inaugurated various units of thermal power plants at Koradi, Chandrapur and Parli with a total capacity of 3,230 Mega Watts.
