Sopore encounter: 1 of 3 terrorists was Pakistani, confirms Kashmir IGP

Confirming the death of three terrorists in Sopore encounter, Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar on June 21, stated that one of them was Pakistani and was active here for last three years. He also informed that one of the police personnel got injured in the encounter. IG Vijay Kumar said, “The terrorists that were gunned down today, were involved in the attacks that happened in last three months in which our two personnel were slain. Along with Mudasir Pandit and Khurshid, militant Abdhullah, who was Pakistani, was also involved in the attack. As soon as, we got the information, we cordoned off the area and started search operation. They started firing in which one of our personnel got injured. All three terrorists were killed in the operation. Mudasir Pandit was hardcore terrorist who was wanted for last two years. Abdhullah who was Pakistani, was in Sopore for last three years.” He further said, “This is a huge success for Police Security Force as they were threat to the locals. Now, they are also in relief as they had pressure to join the militants. ”
