Hate speech: Will Congress cancel Imran Masood's candidature for threatening to 'chop' Narendra Modi?

A video of a Congress candidate Imran Masood in Uttar Pradesh threatening to "chop Narendra Modi to pieces" has gone viral on the web, igniting a new political controversy ahead of next month's national election.

An FIR has been registered against the Congress candidate from Saharanpur for his controversial remarks in violation of the Model Code of Conduct. He has been booked under section 125 (promoting enmity between classes in connection with election) of the Representation Of The People Act, and various IPC sections. Read more here
