With the Lok Sabha elections round the corner, even the Bollywood industry seems to be affected by the everyday politics dividing them into for Narendra Modi and against him.
This divide seems to have taken place after writer, Salim Khan launched Narendra Modi's urdu website showing his support towards the BJP party.
Apart from the rest of the nation, now Bollywood also seems to be involved in the pro Modi/against Modi argument. While actors like Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan seem to explicitly support Modi, other actors, directors and writers don't seem too happy with the BJP's probable leadership.
"There has definitely been progress in Gujarat," says Amitabh Bachchan. "While I cannot exactly pin-point to the before and after effects, I can confidently claim that there has been progress under Narendra Modi in Gujarat."
Singer, Kumar Sanu, another supporter of Modi thinks that a chance should be give to Narendra Modi to prove his rule. "There is a definite wave going on...BJP's wave," he says. "Every 5 years, the rule changes so every party should get a chance so, in that way this time, Modi should get a chance."
However, on the other hand, director Mahesh Bhatt does not agree with this 'experiment' and actor, Raza Murad claims to not find "any kind of Modi wave anywhere".
"The kind of hate ideologies that are being spread by the majorities indicate to how the minorities of the nation will be treated in the future," says Bhatt.
