Greater Chennai Corporation starts community intervention programme in Tondiarpet

The Greater Chennai Corporation has started community intervention programme in Tondiarpet area on July 01. The project focuses on health issues of slum areas in the wake of COVID-19. "We have around 1979 nodes, classified as backward areas and slums. We wanted to specially focus on poor and vulnerable people. All slum households will be screened and surveyed every day. We'll have a specific focus on vulnerable and aged population," said Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner, G Prakash.
