Coronavirus affects ‘Banarasi saree’ industry due to ‘silk’ ban by China
Due to novel coronavirus, many industries in India are getting affected due to travel and export-import ban. One of the industries that got majorly hit by coronavirus is ‘banarasi saree trade’ in Varanasi. In view of the coronavirus spreading in China, the country has banned the export of 1500 tons of silk till February 10. The silk ban feared many families as their lives are dependent on the ‘banarasi saree trade’.
