The driver identified as one Santosh Mane is a licensed driver with the State Transport. He took charge of the vehicle at Swargate depot and sped out of control towards Jagtap nursery and then onto Napier road, said witnesses. He was finally apprehended by the Police when he got stuck in traffic near Neelayam Talkies.
