Lucknow: The ongoing election process in the Youth Congress would be completed by end of 2010.
The president of the Youth Congress, Ashok Tanwar said that the election process in all the 35 states would be completed by December 31, 2010.
Tanwar who was here in connection with the process of elections starting with the membership drive in the central zone from November 12 said that besides UP, membership drive would also start in three other states in the Hindi belt.
After around 10 days into the membership drive, AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi would also visit the central zone consisting of 26 Lok Sabha and 131 Vidhan Sabha constituencies for three days, he said adding that establishing democracy within the party would also help the mission 2012 to bring Congress back to power in UP.
In order to ensure total transparency and keeping criminal elements away, the entire electoral process is being monitored by the "Foundation of Advanced Management in Elections" (FAME) of former election commissioners, which has been roped in and given a free hand by Rahul Gandhi.
KG Rao of FAME, who was also present, recalled how Rahul Gandhi was the first person to have shown interest in organising free and fair elections.
UPCC president, Rita Bahuguna Joshi assured Youth Congress of structural help, so that new and deserving people could come forward and also assist in ending the misgovernance in the state.
