Coinciding with announcement of the new BJP national team, the party's Himachal Pradesh unit too declared the list of its office bearers today, with women finding a greater representation.
State BJP president Khimi Ram announced his new team at a press conference here.
There are eight vice-presidents, three general secretaries and eight secretaries in the new team.
Out of eight vice-presidents, three are women while the number is four in the list of secretaries, Ram told reporters.
Among the 88 state executive committee members, there are 25 women.
Harinarain Saini, Renu Chadda, Pravin Sharma (all MLAs), Kripal Parmar and present state party women president Rupa Sharma were among the vice-presidents.
Ramswarup Sharma, Bipin Parmer and Chandra Mohan Thakur are the three general secretaries.
Khushi Ram Balnatah, who created waves in HP politics by winning for the first time the Rohroo assembly seat which was considered bastion of Union minister Virbhadra Singh, is a notable omission from the list of state office bearers.
Chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, senior party leader Shanta Kumar who was appointed as BJP national vice-president and JP Nadda the new BJP national general secretary were among the list of permanent invitee members.
Former BJP MP Suresh Chandel, who was expelled from Parliament in the cash-for-question scam, also found place as a permanent invitee.
