Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad: The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB), Ahmedabad, has arrested a senior executive in human resource department of a city-based marketing company for allegedly posting fake profile of his female colleague and inviting readers for physical relationships with her. The accused posted contact details of the woman on Orkut, which proved to be nothing less than a mental torture for her and her husband.

Gaurav Joshi, the accused, was fired from his job for allegedly clicking photographs of his female colleague Meena (name changed). The cyber crime cell of the DCB arrested Joshi from Ankleshwar on Thursday evening.

It was some time back during office hours that Joshi had clicked Meena's pictures without seeking her permission. Both of them were working in a private company in Ankleshwar.
A source in the police said that when Meena learnt that Joshi had taken her pictures, she threatened him saying she would complain to the boss. Joshi, however, paid no heed to Meena's warnings and refused to delete the pictures. The matter was taken to the company's boss and Joshi was dismissed immediately.

Angered by the fact that Meena cost him his job, Joshi decided to take revenge. He created her profile on Orkut with a blue film in it. He also posted her photographs, landline number and mobile number. The website read as thus 'for physical relation, please contact me', said the source.

In the days following, Meena received a number of calls from people who asked her to enter into a physical relation. Joshi also threatened Meena saying that if she took the matter to the police he would circulate a mobile phone video of a sex act involving him and Meena on the internet.

Disturbed by this act, Meena's husband lodged a complaint with the crime branch, alleging mental and physical harassment by Joshi. A crime branch team led by PI KK Patel went to Ankleshwar and laid a trap for Joshi.

On tracing his calls, the crime branch sleuths were able to locate him and arrested him on the spot. Joshi was interrogated and he confessed to the crime, said Patel.
