Woman shot dead by gunmen in Kashmir's Shopian district

A 21-year-old woman was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in front of her family in South Kashmir's Shopian district, police said today.
  
The gunmen barged into the victim's house in Hergam-Keller, 70 km from here, at around 8:30 pm last night and after identifying the woman, Sheeraza Akhtar, shot her in her abdomen and chin.
 
Akhtar was a divorcee.
  
The motive behind the killing was being ascertained, superintendent of police, Shopian, Shahid Mehraj said.
 
Four women have been killed by unidentified gunmen in Keller this year.
