Karnataka Assembly Speaker KG Bopaiah, who has given three former ministers February 16 as the deadline to reply to the showcause notice for watching sleazy clippings, on Wednesday said he would wait till tomorrow "after which law will take its own course".
"I will wait till tomorrow. Then the law will take its own course," he told reporters here.
The Speaker said he would set up the house committee to probe the issue and refused to react to the Congress decision to boycott such a committee and demand for summary disqualification of the trio from assembly membership.
On February 13, Laxman Savadi, C C Patil and Krishna Palemar submitted a request to the Speaker for a weeks time to reply to the show cause notice.
Bopaiah had turned it down and set a February 16 deadline for them to file their replies.
