Vizag electrician enters name in Limca Book of Records

An electrician from Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapattnam, Dowrupalli Satya Buddu, has made it to the Millennium Edition of the `Limca Book of Records', for his collection of coins on wildlife.
 
A noted numismatic and philatelist, Buddu has entered the Limca Book of Records, four times in a row.

Buddu started his collection forty years ago with a 10-paisa coin, and now his collection has gone up to 600 coins from 150 countries.

Besides wild animals, Buddu also has a large collection of stamps and coins on famous personalities.

"Mainly, my thematic collection is of famous personalities, animals and birds. Also, I have collected currency and plastic currency of 22 countries," said Buddu.

Buddu's collection is worth Rs 2 million in the national market and Rs 5 million in the international market.
