The family of Ashok PA, who was shot dead by brother-in-law Devarajan Raghavan, along with wife Suchitra and son Ahaan, in Santa Clara on Sunday, is awaiting first-hand information on the situation.
“Ashok’s brother-in-law Vivek Shivaram (wife Suchitra’s brother) will be reaching Santa Clara on Friday evening. We are awaiting information from them,” Ashok’s brother Abhilash told DNA over the phone from the family home at Ayyankolly in Niligiri district.
Devaranjan, who worked with Yahoo in the US, allegedly killed himself after shooting dead six family members and critically injuring wife Abha. Devarajan had invited Ashok and his family to his new home in upmarket Santa Clara on the fateful day.
Though Devarajan’s brother Premarajan claimed that six bullets had been removed from Abha’s body, Abhilash said he had not received any such information. “We aren’t even sure about the bodies being sent to India by Saturday. We are banking on Shivaram,” he said. But hospital sources said her condition was critical.
