A high-level delegation from the state, visiting Nigeria to promote Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2013, concluded its visit after meeting top corporate groups and business organisations there.

Led by Gujarat Maritime Board vice-chairman & CEO Pankaj Kumar, the delegation, signed a declaration of intent for co-operation with The Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) to facilitate investment, enhance bilateral trade and participate in investment promotion related investments. The delegation focussed on showcasing socio-economic profile of the state and shared details of current business and infrastructure opportunities available in the state with prospective investors. Road-shows and seminars organised in view of the delegation’s visit were attended by 180 representatives of different companies.

The delegation met key business organisations, large sector companies and education sector representatives of Nigeria. They also met senior representatives of ECOWAS Commission, a community of 15 West African countries.

The Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining & Agriculture, ECOWAS Commission and Lagos Chamber of Commerce promised to bring business delegations to the 6th Vibrant Gujarat Summit in January 2013.
