Vadodara: The Fatehgunj police on Saturday arrested 16 youths including 4 girls from Vadodara allegedly for attending a booze party. Most of them were students or former students of the Faculty of Fine Arts. After getting a tip-off, the police raided a house in the Royal society, located at New Sama Road in the city in the wee hours and found a booze party going on.
All the 16 youths presented in the party were arrested with their belongings worth Rs1.56 lakh including 6 mobile phones, three motorbikes, two harmonium, two used bottles of booze and one bottle containing booze. The arrested persons were produced before the court, where the magistrate sanctioned one day remand for all the 12 boys while granting bail to the 4 girls.
Giving details about the incident, a police official said that Kumar Jaskiya, who had hired the house at Royal society, had arranged the party on his birthday. He had just passed his master degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts. Kumar had recently opened his studio in the city. Most of the arrested students belong to out states such as Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh, while some hails from Ahmedabad, Chotila and Visnagar.
