Health booths would be set up at airports in Uttarakhand and areas along Indo-Nepal border to check the spread of deadly swine flu in the state.

Directing the state authorities in this regard, Uttarakhand CM Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank said tourists entering the hill state could be thoroughly examined at these health booths and spread of swine flu can be avoided.

Nishank also asked the authorities to establish a separate ICU (Intensive Care Unit) at Doon hospital here for treatment of swine flu patients and appoint four doctors on rotation basis.

Nishank also asked director General Health Premlata Joshi to organise training for doctors of all the district hospitals of the state.

Nodal officer of Swine flu in Uttarakhand, Pankaj Jain, said a total of 62 throat swab samples were sent to NICD for examination out of which only four were tested positive. "All the four patients have been cured," he said.

However, reports of another 15 samples are awaited, he added.
